Kiss singer Paul Stanley announced on the band’s website that they have officially completed work on their new album, Monster.

He went on to say, “Listening to the tracks back to back is like sensory overload. Everyone who has heard any of it is completely blown away. Powerful, heavy, melodic and epic.”

You can read more from Paul at KissOnline.com and learn more about the songs in the February issue of the U-K’s Classic Rock magazine. In it, Paul discusses tracks on the effort, calling “Hell or Hallelujah” an “up-tempo song” that’s “very definitive” and describing “Shout Mercy” as a “great track” that defines the album. No word yet on when Monster will come out.

Rush have been hard at work on their 20th studio album, Clockwork Angels, and drummer Neil Peart has updated fans on its progress. The rocker wrote on his website that he and the guys were working on the record in Toronto from mid-October through December and now the songwriting and arranging for the album has been completed.

He went on to reveal, “As we prepare to start mixing in the New Year, it is too early to say anything about the results,” adding, “I once described mixing as ‘the end of waiting,’ while [singer] Geddy [Lee] calls it ‘the death of hope.’” Neil does describe some of the recording process and you can read all about it at NeilPeart.net. Clockwork Angels is due out later this year.
